About the Artist
My name is Skyler McJohnston. I'm from a small town called Cumby, Texas. I am currently studying Fashion Design at Savannah College of Art and Design. I was first inspired to become a Fashion Designer when I took modeling classes. We often watched models walk down runways and I was amazed by how different designers expressed themselves through different garments. I knew that I wanted to be apart of showing others that fashion doesn't have to be ordinary and doesn't have to be two pieces of fabric sewn together.
About the Design
I enjoy making emotional pieces that express a lost part of my younger self. This is my way of sharing my voice and connecting with my audience on a deeper level. Everyday I am inspired by the life around me and want to continue to show my growth through my designs, writing and drawings.
